Our Approach | 我們的方法

To deliver a comprehensive and customized experience, we have a 3 - Step Process.

We require all potential clients to complete an intake form before we will schedule a phone or Zoom consultation so we can have a productive discussion about your particular needs. Please make sure to complete this and then if we can help, we will be in touch to schedule a phone or Zoom consultation. Meetings are by appointment only during regular weekday business hours on the phone, Zoom, or at our office in Newark.

Step 1:
Consult

During this meeting, we will get to know each other.  I will explain the Estate Planning process and answer any preliminary questions and concerns you may have.  I will go over in detail what my process and philosophy are, and we will see if we are a good fit.

Step 2:
Design

At this meeting, we will discuss in-depth what your specific Estate Plan will say.  Based on a questionnaire you fill out, we will go over the nominations you have made for trustees (who administer your trust), guardians (who take care of any minor children), and health care agents (who make your health care decisions).  We will also discuss your wishes for asset distribution and make sure different scenarios are considered.  At the end of the meeting, we will have gone over different options, recommendations, and things to consider, so that we are all on the same page about what your Estate Plan will address.

Step 3:
Sign

After all of your documents have been drafted to meet your needs, we will discuss the drafts and the important process of funding the trust to ensure you understand the steps of connecting your assets to the trust. Then we will meet for a signing appointment to execute and notarize your Estate Plan.

Follow-up:

Our relationship still continues after your Estate Plan is active.  I value having a long-term relationship with clients.  If you have questions in the future, whether it’s about Estate Planning, the important process of funding your trust, introductions to other professionals, or family resources in the area, I will be available to you.
